I was inspired by a Snow Halation mashup to write my own bubblegum "J-Pop" song, and wrote and translated some lyrics. As an important note the lyrics aren't sung, but the lead violin takes up the vocal melody.
I wanted to make the lyrics emotional so the chorus would really stand out, and added in lots of rain metaphors. They were supposed to be silly but ended up getting kinda personal, and are addressed to someone that currently isn't there.
lyrics

ENGLISH
A summertime feeling,
Clouds in the sky and endless fields,
I thought this would be a gentle rain
Another drop in the ocean,
Endless tears falling from the sky
But still I wonder "Will it end?"
Like a flower petal drifting on the breeze
I hear your voice in my memories
And in the early summer rain
Blue skies become bright
Rainbow dreams forever
Your smile parts the clouds
Silver linings, golden beams
Birds all sing the melody
A springtime kiss together
Like a soaring butterfly
Flowers bloom across the fields
In your arms my heart can heal
And when I think the rain will never end,
I remember your love
Strengthening foundations
These feelings won't be washed away
Sometimes you have to stand in the rain
There was a sudden downpour
Out of a pure and cloudless sky
You were my umbrella to hold out the rain
The flowers, birds, wind and moon
Sing a wordless melody
And when I hear it, I'm reminded of how
You would sing to me
The rain comes and goes
But it won't let me leave
What if you were here next to me?
What if you were here next to me?

Uplifting, melancholy, mysterious, and ultimately satisfying, Identity Sequence is a rich album endored with love. I wasn't an EDM guy, but this album is a marvelous experience. Ben Anthony
The jazz here is pungent and evocative without being overly cryptic, covering a range of moods and standing well on its own even outside the context of the game they were inspired by. Ben Anthony
